Cheney gave an incredibly hedged answer when asked whether Bush knew about and authorized torture. Of course, Bob Schieffer didn’t ask the obvious follow-up to figure out WTF it meant.

When you look at the timeline of DOJ’s stalling on the al-Haramain case, it looks like they were desperately trying to reveal that the “inaccurate” information they just confessed to Judge Walker.

Neither and or I, and obviously, I can’t really speak for Andy, but I’m confortable saying that neither Andy or I would have gone there to take advantage of someone who was sick. Um, Andy and I both, in fact, talked about the importance of satisfying ourselves as we talked with General Ashcroft that he was in fact competent.

Boy, let’s hope this continues: Dick bitching about Bush’s refusal to pardon Libby. Maybe–just maybe–these two will finally start taking each other out.

In a thoroughly unsurprising move, Bush chose to make sure that Libby will continue to shield his own role in the CIA leak case rather than pay Libby back for taking the fall for Bush and Cheney.

It appears that Judge Vaughn Walker will soon have proof that the Bush Administration tapped al-Haramain on days when the illegal wiretap program operated under only Bush’s authorization itself, with no sanction from the Attorney General. If I’m right it cuts to the heart of Bush’s law-breaking on the warrantless wiretap program.

George Bush has said that he gave the auto companies loan money so as not to dump the problem into Obama’s lap.

But that’s a lie.
