Dan Rather has lost what appears to be his last attempt to keep his civil suit against CBS and Viacom alive.

One of the indignities of Walter Cronkite’s death on Friday was that CBS ignored his passing in favor of their regular crappy Friday night lineup. At the time, I hoped Rather would soon get discovery to expose CBS in its cravenness. And today, Rather got that discovery.

60 Minutes is attempting to spike their Don Siegelman story. Funny, this isn’t the first story that is politically damaging to the White House that 60 Minutes has attempted to spike.

The Judge in Dan Rather’s suit against CBS just granted him discovery.

I’d advise popcorn. Lots of it.
