Jimmy passed away peacefully last night Saturday 11/01/08 at 11:00 o’clock pm. Jimmy says hi to everybody and he doesn’t want anybody to be sad.

I had a long direct email from mccain this am appealing for my vote. I wrote back:

“John, Your problem is that you ran your campaign by appealing to the politics of division. People who are intelligent, hardworking, tolerant and patriotic are put off by you appeals to anti-intellectual, white, intolerant ‘patriots’. Shame on you and shame on your advisors. Trashing others by scorning ‘mother’s health’, or Chicago intellectuals, or putting up ‘Joe the Plumber’ as uber American, who seems more skinhead than not, is foolish in today’s world. Calling for a ‘win’ in Iraq, when any reasonable person knows what’s happening there, is foolish. Most thinking people today read scores of newspapers on line, including Middle Eastern websites. Maybe you should try that, too. Thank you for your service, but the world has passed you by.”

Are they still touring with the singer from Pure Prairie League? As I said above, I have seen Feat a couple of times since Lowell died. Still a very fun live act. Not buying and albums, but would go see them live anytime.

Hey Raven, I am way into floyd, seen them three times. Incredible. My wife went to see something called The Australian Pink Floyd a while back. They are semi-sanctioned in that they have a lot of the old stage props and whatnot from the real band and talk to them a lot. She really liked them.

Never say Duane with the Brothers, but did see him with Derek and the Dominoes. Wow is all I can say. Of course, the Dominoes had this other guitar player too….

That was an eye opener for me. But I loved the recap statement of their endorsement for Obama on 11/2:

• President — Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., has demonstrated the maturity, needed pragmatism, genuine concern and calm understanding of the historic challenges that our nation faces in these uncertain times. His opponent, Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., has not sufficiently explained why his presidency would not be an extension of the dismal Bush presidency. Our endorsement goes to Sen. Obama.
