I think our time may be better spent in attempting to verify the conflicting justifications for military violence in Ossetia and Georgia. Russia, with a speed that betrays any honest effort of diligent verification, claims first 2000 dead then 1600 dead citing genocide, civilian killings, the killing of women and children and the defiling of graves.
