Got to know him when he was handling the Cobell suit. He is very hard headed, committed to playing by the rules and the rule of law, and does not tolerate fools or scalliwags period. I think DeadEye goes duck hunting when he needs to have a quiet tete-a-tete with his favorite SCOTUS peep; sitting in blind together while waiting for a flush of ducks to descend offers a nice opportunity for intimate chatting.</p> <p>Quail hunting, on the other hand, isn’t quite as sedentary or intimate — and an easier venue for a shooting accident.</p> <p>Just hope the current members of the SCOTUS can sit tight until a solid non-Republican majority is elected in Congress, or we’re going to see far too much hunting of any kind for our comfort.
